As a small girl growing up in a quiet regional town in Australia, Chezzi never realised she was different. Playing in her backyard with her friends felt perfectly normal until she discovered she was the only one who could see them.
From that moment on, she learned to hide her "weirdness", building a life that looked perfect from the outside. She had a thriving career in journalism and television production. She was a familiar face in the Australian entertainment industry. Chezzi was a woman who had it all, except the freedom to be her true self.
But after the heartbreaking loss of a close friend and the birth of her third child, the facade began to crack. Grief changed her. It forced her to look inward, to confront the past she had buried, and to rediscover the strange, intuitive little girl she once was.
The Weird Little Girl is not a story for the faint-hearted. It is an honest, soul-stirring journey through identity, loss and awakening. With courage and vulnerability, Chezzi invites us all to embrace the unknown, trust our intuition, and reconnect with the parts of ourselves we've learned to hide.

About the Author
Chezzi Denyer is a vibrant force of nature—an award-winning television producer, radio host, writer, qualified spiritual medium, and proud mum to three daughters: Sailor, Scout, and Sunday. Known for her warmth, honesty, and irrepressible spark, Chezzi’s journey is as multifaceted as it is inspiring.
Born Cheryl, she never quite felt the name suited her. It wasn’t until her time working at Sunrise that the nickname “Chezzi”—gifted by the Line Producer—stuck, perfectly capturing her bubbly energy and bright spirit. Today, she lives on a 28-acre farm just outside Bathurst, NSW, with her husband, Grant Denyer, and their girls—surrounded by muddy boots, paddock chats, hairy cows, and a little bit of everyday magic.
